The Belgioioso “NEXT VINTAGE” Show, from Oct. 15 through 18 2010 will soon start with some relevant news: around ten newbie exhibitors who will surely be interesting to be visited in order to evaluate their personal goods choice and, maybe, find some novelties. Regular experienced exhibitors know already the way of amazing visitors with a bunch of novelties of garments, suits, dresses, costume jewelry, accessories that are often exhibited for the very first time to perpetuate the legend of the most important European in-door Vintage market. Being the Castle and the visiting tour so wide and rather crowded, we suggest to avoid Sunday and step in the booths which give "proof in the pudding" of less redundant items with always new assortments at every new edition.
For the most avant-gardes, austerity, minimalist elegance are the keywords: watch out the super rare accessories and unique clothing from the Depression Era, the cleanliness of shapes in the tailoring of the '30's and '40's.
Then, accordingly to the lines and trend proposals of the recent Vintage Workshop® Milano, carry on hunting the most creative Eighties, especially for the accessories and styling collection of specific years: 1981-82 plus 1988-89. Look for the unexpected, the one of a kind items of an era when fashion designers had just started out labelling their brand name or signature and international trade marks by dress maker factories were at the beginning.
Among the shoes, well, I tell you what, the best market is of course Italy, so in Belgioioso you will always be surprised in finding the rarest to find: from rubber sole platforms to leather over-knee pirate boots, from long deconstructed suede boots to period mini-booties.
Collateral exhibitions: on show a comprehensive author's silk scarves signed by the most important designers and painters of the 20th Ct. and a peculiar exhibition entitled "For Men" dedicated to the men's wardrobe during the decades as made in Italy and in many different Countries. Featured: menswear accessories, suits, coats, military uniforms, bridal kimonos and elegant garments like tailcoats, morning suits and dinner "smoking" jackets. All will be shown for the pleasure of both men and women, to recall and rediscover the true masculine elegance. Don't miss the kids Vintage suits too!
