Vintage Events in Italy: Udine and Novegro (English transcript)

And after Belgioioso Next Vintage, there will be two more Vintage meetings not to miss. In Udine (North-eastern Italy) the market and sale
"Wonderful Vintage Market" (N.d.R. Editor's note 2010: this Market in its Vintage format does no longer exist) will start in the centrally located Palace Kechler, dating back to the 19th Ct. from Friday October the 30th to Sunday November the 1st and will promise a “record edition” considering that last season in only 3 days the event scored more than 8000 visitors coming not only from the Regions Friuli and Veneto, but also from every part of Italy and even with some visitors from abroad.
The novelty of this next edition, apart from great Vintage clothes, accessories and modernist design objects, will be the presentation of special clothing and Jewelry for Pets.
The following week-end, from November 6 through to 8, will be the turn of the renowned Novegro Brocantage, at the Exhibitions Park Novegro, close to the Linate airport. Contemporaneously to the show “Brocantage” (fair on the collectable antiquity, curiosities and antic deals) the first edition of Novegro Vintage will take place with an additional hall specifically dedicated to period fashion and accessories.

Vintage appuntamenti autunno: Udine e Novegro

E dopo Belgioioso, altri appuntamenti sono attesissimi. A Udine, nel cuore del Nord-est, la mostra mercato "Wonderful Vintage Market" (N.d.R. 2010: questo evento nel format Vintage non esiste più) aprirà i battenti nel centralissimo palazzo ottocentesco Kechler da venerdì 30 ottobre a domenica 1° novembre e promette un'edizione da record, considerando che in soli 3 giorni la scorsa edizione ha registrato oltre 8000 visitatori provenienti non solo da Friuli e Veneto, bensì da ogni regione d'Italia con qualche incursione anche di appassionati d'oltralpe. Novità per questa edizione, oltre ad abiti ed accessori Vintage di gran classe e a oggetti di design di modernariato, sarà la presentazione di abiti e gingilli per animali.

Il fine settimana successivo, dal 6 all'8 novembre 2009 con orari 10/19, sarà invece la volta di Novegro, presso il Parco delle Esposizioni adiacente all'aeroporto di Linate che, in contemporanea con il mensile "Brocantage" (Fiera del collezionismo, dellle curiosità e delle occasioni d'antiquariato), presenta la prima rassegna Novegro Vintage d'autore aggiungendo un intero padiglione dedicato a moda e accessori d'epoca.

Great news about Vintage fashion events in Italy. In few days the “NEXT VINTAGE SHOW” at the Castle Belgioioso close to the town Pavia (southern from Milano) will take place. A brilliant paradise of Vintage fashion especially dedicated to real Vintage fans, me included, which never disappoints even the highest expectations with several surprises, curiosities and a bunch of one-of-a- kind novelties from past fashion.
The show is very attractive and at every turn of season it proposes the really best from period clothing and accessories proposed to both excited visitors and fashion designers who come over here to literally have a full immersion and to “stockpile” quality vintage items.
With pleasure I publish here below a summary of the press release and I thank the Organizers of Belgioioso Next Vintage for having supplied me with all info.

What a great opportunity to refresh one’s own wardrobe with period fashion and accessories from October 16th to 19th at the “Next Vintage” show performing at the Castle Belgioioso.
Unanimously recognized as the most important indoor Vintage show of Europe, there take part more than 50 highly selected exhibitors coming from different regions of Italy with their best proposals among fashion and accessories from the early 18th Century to the ‘80’s of the 20th Ct.
What can be found at the Next Vintage?
Definitely a little bit of anything as every booth exhibits its specialty items and its peculiarities: from flowers clothes of the ‘70’s by Superfly, to embroidered linens by Polvere di Stelle, the evening Americans clothes by Cristina Marotta, the scarves and trimmings by Venturrino Vintage, the purses collection by Angela Eupani, the sport glasses by Officina Vintage, the military jackets by Andrea Degl’Innocenti (…)
The word “Vintage” means period; in fashion it indicates the recovery and revamping of designers’ garments, precious clothes coming from the first manufacturing productions of the fashion makers that preserve a plus, an added value: the mark of times.
Vintage can be explained as a term which guarantees how a design created several seasons ago can be up-to-date and which still offers nowadays the quality stands and the uniqueness of a model that survived through ages.
In order to get dressed Vintage, there aren’t real rules, it isn’t so important the signature, but rather the fabric, the style, the colour and everything that make it “special” to our sight.

COLLATERAL EXHIBITIONS:

GRAN SERA: evening dresses to dream about
This is the title of the exhibition which introduces a collection of evening clothes, created by Gianni Versace during a decade from the ‘80’s to the ‘90’s in a nostalgic itinerary.

JOLIE MÔME
The collection Jolie Môme gets its inspiration from the town Paris of the Fifties in a chic, glamorous, scandalous, beating, exciting scenery personified by stars as Françoise Sagan, Juliette Greco e Edith Piaf…
Valérie Ricci, qualified at the Institute “Nicolas FlaMel-Boulle” of Paris, has been specializing for 19 years in “haute couture” Jewelry and creating her own brand.
The quality jewels are exclusively created with semi-precious stones and sterling Silver with rhodium finishing and every exemplar is unique or manufactured in a limited edition.

Squillino le trombe e rullino i tamburi! Ormai ci siamo, fra pochi giorni inizierà il rinomato salone "Next Vintage" al Castello di Belgioioso nei pressi di Pavia, un paradiso della moda d'epoca per tantissimi appassionati, me compreso, e che non delude mai, anzi, riserva ad ogni edizione innumerevoli sorprese e tante novità e curiosità dalla moda del passato. Attesissimo ad ogni cambio di stagione, Next Vintage proporrà il meglio della moda e degli accessori d'epoca, proposti ad appassionati e stilisti che qui giungono a far "bottino" da ogni parte del globo.
Pubblico volentieri un estratto del comunicato stampa e ringrazio la segreteria dell'Ente Fiere dei Castelli di Belgioioso e Sartirana per avermi fornito il materiale.

Il termine Vintage significa “d’annata”, nella moda, indica il recupero di capi d’autore, ma non solo, usati di pregio, abiti provenienti dalle prime produzioni delle griffes che conservano un valore aggiunto: il segno del tempo.
Vintage può essere definito un termine che garantisce l’attualità di un design creato molte stagioni fa e che offre oggi la qualità e l’unicità di un modello sopravvissuto al tempo.
Per vestire Vintage non ci sono vere e proprie regole da seguire, non è così importante la firma ma il taglio, il tessuto, il colore e quello che ai nostri occhi lo rende “speciale”.
